Comment on a Land Trust
Recognizing the need for public accountability
Your voice is welcomed
The Commission encourages the communities and partners of current applicants or accredited land trusts to submit comments.
The principles that guide the Commission's public comment process:
Only written comments are accepted.
The link above can be used to submit comments or, via mail, to 36 Phila Street, Suite 2, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or email to info@landtrustaccreditation.org
All comments must be attributed. If the comment is shared with the land trust, the name of the commenter is kept confidential.
Comments must relate to the land trust’s implementation of the Standards and accreditation requirements. The Commission does not intervene in internal disputes within accredited land trusts, disputes between land trusts, and disputes between land trusts and other individuals or agencies.

Partnering with Accredited Land Trusts
Accredited land trusts make strong land conservation partners.
Why Accreditation Matters
The refrain, “It was challenging, but it was worth it,” is something we hear often at the Commission.
