A quasi-governmental organization, for the purposes of accreditation, is one that a) has a primary mission of land conservation, b) has a governance structure that provides independent oversight with a board independent of government, and c) is a unit of government, rather than a private, non-profit corporation. This fact sheet provides information about any adaptations or exceptions to the accreditation requirements or related documentation for those types of organizations.
