Volunteer as a Commissioner
Serving on the Commission is a great opportunity to work with a dedicated group of volunteer conservation leaders from around the country and be part of a national program that fosters excellence, trust and permanence in land conservation. Ready to join us or do you know someone who would make a great commissioner?
Commissioners volunteer approximately 2-3 days a month reviewing applications and governing the organization, and they commit to serve a three-year term. Interested individuals should submit a summary of their qualifications by completing the Commissioner Candidate Questionnaire. Please note, that the questionnaire must be completed in one sitting, it is not possible to save answers as you go. The questions can be printed.

Summary of Position
The Review Specialist is part of a dedicated team that implements the national accreditation program to build and recognize strong land trusts, foster public confidence in land conservation, and help ensure the long-term protection of land. The Review Specialist serves as a primary evaluator of applications for accreditation and promotes and implements the Commission’s values of integrity, accountability, and service.
The position is full-time and requires some weekend and evening work. It is fully remote and requires travel at least three times per year.
